Akinwande Abiodun K. Ogun State Governor-Elect, Mr. Dapo Abiodun, has pledged to pursue synergy with Lagos State and the Federal Government when he assumes office on May 29. Abiodun said this in a statement by his spokesperson, Remmy Hazzan, on Saturday. He also promised to promote equity and fairness in his developmental initiatives when he assumed office. The gov-elect stated that his plan to form synergy with both Lagos and the Federal Government would usher in uncommon growth on all fronts in Ogun State. Tunji Bosun, Abeokuta The Allied Peoples Movement has rejected the ongoing election results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The APM Campaign Director General, Sarafa Ishola, said this on Sunday at the party’s secretariat at Leme, Abeokuta. Ishola said the election began peacefully on Saturday, but was allegedly hijacked by hoodlums and “unidentified uniformed men” during the collation stage. He said the results of the election were manipulated in favour of APC. He said the APM had petitioned INEC in the state to investigate the “infractions” and stop announcement of results forthwith. The DG expressed concern that, despite the complaints, the INEC has started announcing the results. Prince Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress appears to be heading to victory in the governorship election held in Ogun state on Saturday, just like his counterparts in Lagos, Kaduna, Kwara, Kebbi, Sokoto and Bauchi States.  Dapo-Abiodun Victory is being predicted as results began coming in from the various polling booths. However, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was ahead in Adamawa, Enugu, Delta, Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom States.  In Ogun, Dapo Abiodun held steady in the nine local governments east of the state, crushing Abdulkabir Akinlade, the candidate of Governor Ibikunle Amosun, and the PDP candidate, Senator Buruji Kashamu. From early results declared, Abiodun won handily in Ijebu-Ode and Ijebu North East.
